The Olympian with the BEST six-pack abs is...

Well, after watching the Olympics for the last couple of weeks, I think I've found the Olympian with the absolute BEST six pack abs...

The winner by a landslide is:

Usain Bolt!

If you've seen a couple of the times he's pulled his shirt up a little, you'll see that he easily has one of the best sets of ripped abs in the world.

This is not a surprise, as 100 and 200-meter sprinters usually have some of the most impressive bodies in the world. Compare those strong healthy muscular physiques of world-class sprinters with the typically skinny, weak frail-looking physiques of marathoners.

That's one reason why distance running will NEVER be in my exercise repertoire!

Another is the fact that distance running at the same basic steady pace only trains your heart rate in one specific range the entire time instead of a hugely wide range such as in sprinting. A sprinters heart is always going to be stronger than a marathoners heart (unless the marathoner trains in higher intensity ranges as well for at least some training).

And the 3rd reason that distance running will never be in my exercise repertoire is the fact that it is BRUTAL on your joints pounding the pavement (or the treadmill) on a daily basis. I'll stick to sprinting on grass fields or hill sprinting, which will actually strengthen instead of tear-down the joints, when done properly.

As you can see from the incredibly ripped abs of Usain Bolt, there is a reason that sprints and hill sprints are one of the important factors that I talk about in my Truth about Six Pack Abs program.

If you don't already have a copy, and you want lean, ripped abs like Usain, make sure to get yourself a copy of Truth about Abs... more info and user results are below:

Phelps 12,000 calorie meal plans

With all of the excitement of the Olympics lately, one thing that has really seemed to capture everyone's attention is the news about Michael Phelps 12,000 calorie daily meal plans.

If you think about it, considering that the average person consumes between 2,000 to 3,000 calories per day, it is quite phenomenal to think that Phelps can consume 12,000 calories/day and still stay as lean as he is.

This just shows the power of the amount of physical activity he actually does each day to expend all of those calories.

Now keep in mind that this is only his caloric intake during his most extreme periods of training... and he is also quite an athletic freak of nature. That amount of training that he does every day would be some serious overtraining and cripple the average person.

That level of caloric intake reminds me of my college summers more than 10 years ago when I used to do landscaping and walk-behind lawn mowing for 12-13 hours a day, 5-6 days per week (damn that was hard work!).

Some days I would literally be walking behind and maneuvering a several hundred pound lawnmower for miles and miles in the summer heat all day long (with lots of other manual labor mixed in also).

One thing that I had to do during these times of extreme physical activity was eat enormous quantities of food just to maintain my weight.

A few times I tallied up my daily calorie intake to see how many calories I was consuming during these long summer lawn mowing days and it was usually between 5,000 to 6,000 calories/day.
And believe me... that is a huge amount of daily food in itself. I just can't imagine how Phelps can eat TWICE that amount in one day... it's just mind boggling.

Anyway, I just thought this whole thing was fascinating. I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone trying to train as much as Phelps does or eat as much as he does... but it is certainly interesting how many calories the body can expend when put under such extreme levels of daily exercise.

Congrats to Phelps and all of the other Olympians for their incredible accomplishments this year!

With new world records being broken every year, and athletes getting stronger, faster, and more skilled all the time, it's crazy to think what athletes will be doing in another 40 or 50 years.

If you want to eat the healthiest diet possible for your specific body and learn to stay lean for life, make sure to read through Isabel De Los Rios' program at:

There will be no 12,000 calorie meal plans there!

Have a great day, and enjoy the rest of the Olympics!

Is this a Fat Loss Secret Weapon?

With all of the talk we do about specific workout types and nutritional ideas for assisting fat loss and healthy living, we sometimes neglect the most important aspect.

This is the aspect which can make or break fitness success... this is why some people give up frustrated, or seem to never "have time" to get in shape, while others seem to stay in great shape for their entire lives.

Of course, what we're talking about is what's going on in your mind.

Yeah, it may not be as flashy and fun as the details of the workouts and diet, but it's actually WAY more important in the long run for lifelong fitness success.

One of the world's leading experts in developing a true fitness mindset is my friend Scott Tousignant. Scott has put together a totally different type of transformation contest as you'll see below in which you can win up to $2457.95 in prizes.

Also, be sure to check out the pictures of Scott and his wife Angie, and how they transformed their bodies so much, they actually now have those elusive six pack abs.

Scott has given me a message to pass on below:

====================
From Scott Tousignant, BHK, CFC:

It's true! There honestly is a fat loss secret weapon. I'll share some proof with you in a moment, but first I need to make something clear...

Relying on diet and exercise to lose weight isa recipe for disaster.

I want you to realize that there are many nutrition and workout programs that really work. The problem is that many people are not working the programs.

They are depending on will-power to pull them through. Will-power is the crutch for a weak mindset.

What you need is...

An Unstoppable Mindset that skyrockets your motivation through the roof and provides you with the constant and continuous inspiration to take action towards your goal each and every day.

Having an Unstoppable Mindset is the only way that you'll ever form the healthy habits that will last a lifetime and guarantee you continued success.

It's time for you to develop your Unstoppable mindset and become successful with every nutrition and workout program that you use.

The fat loss secret weapon that will skyrocket your motivation and help you form healthy habits to lasta lifetime is the Unstoppable Fat Loss Program!

Here's the proof that I was mentioning earlier. It's a testimonial from Gary Talley who applied the scientifically proven strategies of the Unstoppable Fat Loss program to win 3rd place ina recent transformation contest.

Hi Scott,

I've never written a testimonial for a product I bought before. That was because no product I've ever purchased has had such an impact on my life as your Unstoppable Fat Loss interview series.

I recently finished a 12 week fat loss challenge. I entered my first body transformation challenge way back in 1998 and have since entered at least 7 other similar body transformation challenges through the years but I never would follow through.

Every single time I would slide back into what I call "default". Back to skipping workouts, eating junk food, or drinking beer.

This recent challenge was different because I had a secret weapon, Unstoppable Fat Loss.
As I listened to the interviews each time I would think to myself, wow that was my favorite interview until I listened to the next one and I would say to myself again, no that's my favorite one, until I realized that each interview was so powerful, so life changing, so inspiring that there is no way I could choose just one as my favorite.

I listen to them every day and because of UFL I not only finished the challenge, I am in the best shape of my life and I won 3rd place.

Thank you Scott so much for Unstoppable Fat Loss. I now have the tools and techniques and the mindset I need to live an Unstoppable Lifestyle.

Gary Dean Talley--

Now that's inspiration in itself. To see that Gary entered 7 contests and failed to follow through, buthe never gave up.

Because of his persistence and applying the strategies of the Unstoppable Fat Loss program he has finally made his dreams become reality.

Make it easier on yourself and don't try to burn fatwithout this secret weapon.

Protein, Carbs, Fat, Calories... What's the Real Deal?

I'm sure you've probably seen all of the headlines and media debate lately over the low carb vs low fat study results that were released recently.

I'm not going to talk in detail about that today, because it seems everyone has been talking out it, and the study itself had many flaws and inconsistencies.

The fact that so many people are STILL searching for some type of diet "gimmick" saddens me.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting someone who I consider to be one of the most knowledgeable nutrition experts I've come across over the years.

Her name is Isabel De Los Rios and I was extremely impressed by her new program she put together at:

http://the-non-diet.com

If you want to sift through all of the confusion out there these days about nutrition, this site is definitely for you. Here are some of the great topics that Isabel demystifies regarding your diet:
  • How to determine the exact types of foods that are most appropriate for your specific body and metabolism type. After all, we are all different, so 1 specific diet is NEVER right for everyone.
  • What you need to know about dairy before ever buying another dairy product again
  • The dangers of eating certain types of soy products... which types are ok in moderation, and which types shouldn't be eaten at all, unless you WANT more belly fat!
  • Is organic food worth the price?
  • Why "whole grains" are not always as healthy as the label claims, but how this "other type" of grain is a contender for superfood lists
  • The honest truth about carbohydrates and how much you really need
  • Over 100 healthy meal plans and even detailed shopping lists
  • Ideal protein-carb-fat ratios based on your specific metabolism and body type
  • The major misconceptions about dietary fat that you need to know about
  • Everything you need to know about salt, sweeteners, alcohol, and more
In my opinion, this program is a MUST-READ for everyone that cares about their health and that of their loved ones, and wants to finally fully understand nutrition and how to get a lean body for life.

Make sure to grab a copy of Isabel's program today:

http://the-non-diet.com

I loved this and I know you will too...

Enjoy!

I'll be back soon with more lean-body training and nutrition secrets.
